Description: easy to fold in 15 minutes but to make it look good it may take alot longer then I spend on it. I had to improvise the leaf, so it's not so good. Thanks to Sebl for posting the diagram on his flickr.

From a square of brown/red/foil/brown tissuefoil
Description: I wanted to fold a bird of prey as a present. After ruining alot of paper on huong cong's eagle, trollips bald eagle and Huang Trung's eagle. I decided to alter the last one to my liking. The wings are great on that eagle but since I couldn't fold the toes and body I just testfolded 6 times with easier legs toes and less pleats for the wings. This is the result. Hope you like it.

Both very well done. I'm sure whoever receives that hawk will love it! Just out of curiosity, where did you find diagrams for Sebl's Snake and Leaf? It's a lovely little model, and I'd like to give it a try.

Currently I'm working on a new cat. So I decided to post a few folds so you can get an idea of the process I have before making a "final" model.

Some changes on flaps on the body. Neck is still to long. Proportions are still a bit of. Hind legs are not so nice.

Neck a bit shorter, Of course I couldn't remember how I folded the face on the other pic, so I had to reinvent the head again. The hindlegs are wider around the thighs, still not so nicely shaped.

Let me know if see anything that needs improvement.
Hopefully the final model will follow soon!

Some more stuff:
I bought some longdrink glasses and they were wrapped in some thin paper, so I used MC to get me a couple of sheets. Below is the result.

I was trying the CP challenge for July (viewtopic.php?f=16&t=11710) but I couldn't do it. However I noticed the base was the same as my jungle snapper, now I remembered Lang's crane and the Elias strech and dicided I could use some practise and I came up with this bird. The paper color is kind off weird although it looks nice. I remembered Sebl had a series of herons and the like and I tried to shape it in the way he did, one leg up. It can actually stand on it's own!

And please leave a comment. And I really need someone to take a closer look at my latest cat and tell why it is wrong. Something is bothering me with that model, folded it a bunch of times but it still doesn't look right for some reason. Help.... Please.. Pretty please with sugar on top!

As I said on Flickr, I love that bird! As for the cat, I have a few suggestions. First, I would try making the belly a little less fat. Either making it less rounded or even curve in a little. Also, when the body is elongated as in your design, they are usually walking. However, in V. 6, the cat does not appear to be doing so. Try shaping the legs differently. Or, you could make it running, or even better- pouncing . Maybe play around with the pose of the tail. And try adding paws and see if it shortens the legs too much. Structurally, I think it is fine, it just needs different shaping. Oh, and I think it would be cool to fold it from triple tissue to create "stripes" with the bleeding effect. Although that's up to you .

Hey eamon, thanks for your ideas. It is a rather fat cat now you mention it, it would be easy to mountain fold some parts to make it less bulky. I'll need a bigger paper though to shape it better, and I'm thinking about using a different paper, like Jesse Barr used on his cat, see this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/32636337@N ... dborst078/

Also Back-terror aka Folding- well asked me to testfold his Dolphinfish, so here is result. Great Model! Diagrams look great, I hope for him that his model gets selected for tanteidan 19.

They are actually three fish designs. Designed for the ODT 2013, I won the first round. And a woodcarving made by me in the middle. I just recently started woodcarving and have not been doing alot of origami. But with the tournament running again, I'll be doing some origami again. I also cut my thumb really bad
