The reason for your uneven bracket is that the primary bracket has 32 contestants and this becomes half after the first round, so you should have 16 contestants in the secondary bracket to fix it.
But I think this should also be possible.

Good luck with the tournament people!

I am sending out tons of PMs and this forum has a limited size inbox, please do not message me back unless there is something you need to notify me of. Thanks everyone!

Also Flaregloom, there are 27 entrants with several byes in the first round which make the secondary bracket a bit messed up.

Argonaut wrote:As the former architect of this tournament I can say that people who fail to submit entries will always be there, but that doesn't mean the tournament was a failure. It was insanely hard to enforce deadlines, especially when rounds were starting at different times. Like other people have said, these people are weeded out early.

That said, what I find disturbing is the lack of participation of the forum moderator. When I ran the tournament I would post warning of the deadlines on all of the threads with missing entries and even sent PMs out. This did wonders to keep the tournament on schedule. I know this is work, but I think it would be helpful. Another contributing factor was the late start of the tournament. it was months after the thread was opened for entries before the tournament began. Furthermore, gab has not been around on the forum to direct the creation or timeline of the polls, and hasn't even posted on this thread in two weeks despite the raging discussion. This tournament will never be on schedule if the tournament director is not on schedule, so I think gab needs to be setting an example to follow, or this tournament really may drag on all year, which is likely to spell the end for this activity.

Yep, totally agree. Not seen many mods at all lately besides phillipcurl and Anna. So we have 5 mods, and two administrators. 2 of 7 actually still at least browse through. None have touched this thread (or even participated/commented!) :(

I actually think Argonaut was speaking about gab, who admitted to not having enough time which is why I took over. I actually PMd every person today to make the new topics today.

For the primary bracket 1 group did not create a post and several for the secondary bracket were not created. I think in this situation they should have more time to create the topic, but less time to fold and the round will still end for them the same day as everyone else. If no post is made by then, the person who was supposed to make the round gets knocked out and the other contestant should continue to the next round. Any objections?

d_music_master never posted a topic for our match either.
Also, you said it would be 4 days to pick a topic, but you posted the bracket on the 11th and said we had to choose by the 13th. That's only 2 days.

I actually had the information posted early on the 10th which gave the 10th 11th 12th and 13th, so 4 days. Please read my post 2 above for my ideas for people who did not create a topic, it is on this very page. When I first posted the days each event would start, I asked if anyone had any objections and no one voiced concern.

If anyone feels it was not enough time, let me know and next round I can increase it a day or two, but I would rather not have the topic choosing section take a week, most people made their 3 topics within a day and had the opponent choose within that same day.

Harpseal has not checked the forum at all, I can tell because Harpseal did not recieve my message about the 13th due date, it is still in my outbox. Same with every other group that has not made a post yet.

I am sorry but there is nothing I can do to make people post their topic. With no topic created I will just send the people without a topic to the next round, and the people who did not create a topic will be disqualified (meaning Jakeplusplus will continue and Razzmattaz will get knocked out).

In case it was not a joke, Raptorexx55, when I put "Bye" as your opponent I meant you have a pass to the next round due to the irregular number of entrants.
