I'll choose Small paper since that's my forte anyway.
You're not setting any restrictions on content?
If the deadline is March 1 then this duel will run for almost 11 months. That's pretty long.
Perhaps you'd prefer to end it on the first of May?

Yes, May. Sorry about that.
Nope, just small paper in this case. Figured I'd change things up a bit.

Sorry, without some kind of theme specification or constraint I'm having trouble deciding what to design, and it will also make it difficult to judge in the end if there's no criteria to judge our entries against.
I think we really need to decide on some kind of theme or topic to design around.

Okay, I have some ideas.
Insects from small paper (should be an interesting category should it be chosen)
Tessellations
Mammals

Yeah, lets go with insects then.
We see so often see insects made from box pleating and with huge paper. It'll be interesting to see what we can do when constrained in size, and therefore complexity.

Nice job!
Do you post your photos on Flickr as well as deviantART? It's easy to hotlink Flickr photos so they can be seen in threads on this forum.
I've folded an ant from 8cm receipt paper at work this morning It doesn't look as fancy as your entry but I'll upload some photos of it when I get home.
Edit:
Here's the first draft

I've folded an improved version now.
The legs are a bit thinner on this one, and the head is shaped to suggest antennae and mandibles.

It's possible to design more than one thing at a time.chesscuber98 wrote:wait if this is going on then how is he supposed to duel me ?

Re: Baltorigamist vs. Spiritofcat - Informal Duel
I'll be interested to see how this turns out.
I think your designs are more technically proficient, but a box pleated insect is kind of par for the course. Everyone has seen those sort of things before.
I think people may favour my design because it isn't box pleated which gives it a bit of novelty value.
Also I've got pictures visible in the thread while yours are only external links.

I agree, clicking on links to see pictures gets annoying
The only limit in origami is your imagination and your patience
