Great topics, I am torn between all 3... but I will have to go with number 1 because I don't really use tesselations and it will be nice to try something different Good luck! And what's the deadline?

Sea Turtle
Designed and folded by me from 1 uncut square.
Been feeling sick all week so I thought I would do a more simple model. Designed via free folding, first attempt. Folded from a 20cm square of terry tissue foil, boxpleated on a grid of 24. Hope you like it! CP will come in a few days
Looking forward to seeing your model

Alright, here it is!
Origami Peacock, I noticed that the existing peacocks focused mainly only on the fan and left other details. That is what i wanted to acheive in this model. I got the feet as realistic as possible ( But sadly could not thin it down further), The Comb and the wings. Sadly its not perfect.
I am proud of it

That looks like a really solid design, and i like the details beyond the feathers! surely it could do with a larger sheet though!

Re: Informal ODD : Chesscuber vs Langko
I totally agree. The only problem is that its really hard to find a sheet larger than the one i used.
Looks like i am going to have to tape a few together. I need to learn more shaping

I thought since you said you were going to have to tape a few sheets together, that you were going to refold the model out of bigger paper. But if your not doing that, I have no more entries so you can start the poll.
Nice model and good luck!

Re: Informal ODD : Chesscuber vs Langko
That would take way too long. The model still exists after this challenge and so i will keep improving it. So, the polls up.

Re: Informal ODD : Chesscuber vs Langko
That's a really solid effort, chesscuber98, very nicely done, just a shame that it ends up so thick.
Both models are very good, but I have to give Langko my vote since the result was much cleaner.

Re: Informal ODD : Chesscuber vs Langko
They're both really nice designs, but I think Langko's turtle is more effective.
The peacock is also really cool and detailed. You both did a great job.

I in fact agree with you guys. Langko's model has a very nice polished look to it. I am happy with my design. I will just have to detail it better
