Monthly Folding Challenge: July 2013

Post by gachepapier »

The subject for this month is...

SPEED.

That's right. Anything you can associate with the word or concept goes, except for its opposite, so no snails (unless they're really fast for some reason). Please show us one or more models in a scene depicting speed.

Constraints:

- use square(s) only
- no cuts
- no glue (except for sizing the paper)
- any type of paper goes - I would like to see the "cleanest" models you can come up with though !

Clue: this subject was used in a recent duel on the French Forum, the models were
- a fly between two chopsticks (Karate Kid reference)
- a cartoony Road Runner (Wile E. Coyote's Nemesis)

Best of luck and have fun !!!
mes p'tits plis (now also in English)

I saw that road runner. It was really good. Maybe I can think of something.

The link below might make this more interesting, although I like a cheetah, seeing ten of them might turn this into a cheetah contest.

The first thing that came to my mind when I saw speed was turbo snail (saw the ad for that movie on TV the other day :P) But you said no snails so.... I thought of cheetah. But everyone seems to be doing that and I haven't started my design yet so I have thought of something else. Hopefully I'll get it done in time...

Turbo would be fine i think ( he said "no snails, unless its really fast for some reason." so if u could color change it to look like turbo, that would be fine in my mind.

Haha, I don't want to design that, it's just the first thing that came to my mind :)
