Informal duel: Langko vs Taha vs Kyle

Post by Langko »

Ok here's the first 3 way duel! Hopefully it works out well (I see no reason why it shouldn't)

Topics to choose from:
1. "Dinosaurs"
2. Since the monthly challenge is "speed" we will go the opposite, so option 2 is: "things that are slow"
3. "Movies" anything from a movie (more broad topic)

So Taha, choose 2 of the 3 topics...

When Taha has done that, Kyle can choose 1 of those remaining 2 topics.

Rules:
1 uncut square.
Mc and Glue is ok for shaping and treating paper.

Deadline:
We will make it a month so everyone has time to make something great!
Models due by 10th of Augest.

Have fun and good luck! :D

Yes, I wanted one of options to be more broad :) Preferably it should be something that's a main focus/more popular in the movie but its up too you.

If you want to do movies or dinosaurs how about a "Jurassic park" theme?
I would rather fail trying than fail without trying....

well, jordan wanted one broad theme, that way we can all design something using our strengths. For example, i CANNOT design using 22.5 degrees, but i'm getting better at boxpleating, so i can find something that benefits boxpleating.

Here's my design! :D : toothless from how to train your dragon. Image when I designed this model, my goal was to get the BASIC shape, but I wanted to try to incorporate the playfulness as well. therefore, I just made a simpler design with the fanned tail, claws, 2 horns, 2 ears, and mid-sized wings. in the picture the wings look smaller than they are. By the way, for the poll, do you guys think everyone should be able to vote for 2 models, instead of just 1?

Would it be ok if we extended the date a week?? I have a upgraded design in progress... I just need time to fold it, which I don't have in the next few days. langko doesn't have his design in either .. so that may help him a bit too, and taha mentioned that he wants to upgrade his too. That extension ok with you guys?

Sword in the Stone
Not been in the mood for origami lately but wanted to make sure I entered something so just made this... Free folding first try. Hope you like it... Wanted to fold something rather unusual ;)Image

And dude, you have had a month... Thats enough time to fold something. I don't think the date needs to be extended...
