ODT#4

Post by malifold »

I volunteer to organize it if nobody else wants to. Post a message here if you want to join, sign up before September 10th!
Rules (just my ideas, comment on them.) :
1) Timing. I suggest three days to set up the duels, twenty days to compete, and seven days to set up the polls and vote. The organizer must ensure that everything goes on time, last tournament was sort of a mess.

2) Global rules. These must apply to every duel, but feel free to add on extras if you want. One square, no cuts, provide at least a rough hand drawn CP, or specify base used, if you don't design with CPs, to prove legitimacy. Hexagons accepted for tessellations. As many models may be submitted as you wish. Finally, one may vote for oneself.

3) Single elimination, with a duel to determine third place.

4) Have fun!

Once again, suggestions are very welcome.

Malifold, i think it is great that you are taking up this responsibility. Sadly i will have to disagree with the only 1 square rule. 1 square is up to the person posting topics. Some topics require more. By allowing only a single square you are stopping quite a few designs and ideas. This is just my point of view.
I will join if the tournament begins after september. Looking forward to this.

If this started in September it would run right through the international Olympiad, which may reduce the amount of people who actually post models. I'd maybe wait till October.

I thought to do the first round before, and the second round after the olympiads.

okay, one square rule should be decided upon by the participants of each duel.

It would be nice to have 30 or more participants, so sign up, it's free!
