Just one question - why you didn't participate in this challenge?
I feel, that I do not have to prove anything to others - I can help if they have problem with cp or shaping, but with some limits - im not going to do photodiagrams of cp collapsing with shaping sequnce - "I don't how to collapse that cp - anyone help?" and then "how to do that", "how to do other thing" etc. Sorry for being harsh, but to some things, you just have to find your way of figuring them out. Going to be the best in origami, is a long road, with many mountains and valleys to cross. Keep your eyes on the purpose, and work hard :D

The challenge is over, isn't it? So anyone can fold it now.

I blame myself partially as my own "reference" too was an approximation of the crease pattern(which I did not recognize until now through Kafar's picture). I assumed that by measuring the line on the original CP I'd come to probably the most accurate grid--but that's untrue I guess.

(A question to Kafar, is your CP more accurate than the original one provided? I was just wondering if it was. Because when I did your reference on the original CP it showed up with visible error. Perhaps I was just doing it wrong though. It makes sense with my math since your measurement was in-between Mir's and mine, just like the picture you provide shows.)

But with error guys, the more folds that are based off of it, the more of an error you get in the entire model. This is why reference folds are important to be as perfect as possible--because you are basing your entire fold of the model off of them.

Razz, Karol redrew this CP in oripa, which gives much much more resolution. And Author-provided Crease Pattern is JPEG and low resolution, and it also has thick borders, compared to the size of CP, so determining a neat reference from as small size as was provided is not very likely. But yours was pretty close! (:

Yeah, it must be the borders and line thickness that killed my reference.
An example of what I did:
http://s22.postimg.org/ni9hb2ush/example.png

I positioned the square on the side of the x axis and positioned a vertical line at x = 165 pixels. And it results in the position of the green line. Note that the original CP was 300 wide so 165/300 => 11/20.

Hence why I asked if the original CP was wrong. I didn't think of the borders though. It would make sense too that the borders would throw it off.

Thanks for clearing that up, guys.

looks like you are one of my critics. Its just a contest meant to improve folders cp skills. And please stop always behaving rudely with me.

Mir, he wasn't being rude. I was thinking the exact same thing as Rosugamer only I didn't write it ;)
We already have a monthly cp challenge going and it looks like you are trying to make another one. And if this was a monthly challenge how can you say sr123 wins when it is not the end of the month? If you wanted to make this as a one off challenge to improve folders CP skills that's fine, but you don't need to turn it into a monthly challenge when we already have one.
