This is a challenge to see who can make the most pleasing fold of my design, the Fairy Archer. The CP is right here:
This is my fold of it:
The deadline in Jan. 20th. May the best folder win!

Huh. I'll try looking at it from a different computer.

Is anyone else going to enter? I know there's still plenty of time, but I want to see who else is entering.

Re: Fairy Archer CP Challenge!
Tried to fold it but I couldn't collapse this part:
To me it looks like a closed sink but I couldn't fold it flat. I also noticed that there are some errors in the CP.

Yeah. I have an updated version. That's just a mountain fold. I can upload the update if you want.

Yes, please post the updated version. I'd love to fold your model but I can't collapse that part.

Re: Fairy Archer CP Challenge!
I found "some errors" in this crease pattern (Red areas).
Try avoiding any errors in your CP's so that others who fold it would not have trouble with that.
*At a vertex there should be only and only even number of creases (4,6,8,10,12...)
*If you number all the angles around the vertex, sum of even angles 180* and so sum of odd angles is.
*A number of valeys and mountains should differ by two (N(val)-N(mnt)=2 or vice versa)
*Try not to include shaping elements into it. No face/head details, etc. Just make it flat foldable CP, and folder will figure it out by himself. It's much much easier that way.
Good luck!:)

Re: Fairy Archer CP Challenge!
Determining if it is flat fold-able via Maekawa's and Kawasaki's theorem has been disproven. However it is a good general rule.
