This is my first entry to this challenge but I hope to have at least one more.

I called it Brooch and I think it is as geometric as geometric it can be. Folded from an octagon cut off from a square of 30 cm on the side.

Very pretty reminds me a lot on Jeremy Shafer's Octagonal Spinning Top: http://youtu.be/5w7RKgaevAw
Here is a picture of a one I folded some time ago (the one on the left).

I forgot to mention that it is very possible that it has been done before. Thanks for pointing out the J Shaffer model, I did not know it, and now I like it a lot.

Please don't get me wrong. I didn't accuse you of copying someone else's work, I just saw the similarity and thought it was fun that you came up with something that had so much in common.

Cool theme and thank you very much for posting my model. I'm motivated to fold something for this challenge because I seldom fold geometric models.

Spiky Box. From a square of colored copy paper. It is the result of trying to find something to do with the leftover paper after making a crossboxpleating with diagonal pleats.

Glad to hear someone enjoys my choice in topic.
However, credit for the topic goes to a dear friend of mine, as she was the one who said to do math themed or something along those lines.

Recursive - of, relating to, or constituting a procedure that can repeat itself indefinitely.

Origami “Recursives” folded from one rectangle: (I know that recursive is an adjective, I’m using “Recursives” as a twisted noun)
