Monthly Folding Challenge: March 2014

Post by marmalade »

This March, in honor of International Women's Day, the topic will be:

Femininity

This topic covers all models related to women, motherhood and femininity in common. Even "mise en scenes" reflecting actual problems of women are welcome.

quiet marverick
will be judging the March contest and will also be choosing the April topic.

Interesting topic! :)
Is there any limits on use of papers like numbers as normally or are can we use any number of papers like last month?

As this is a "folding" challenge, I think we shouldn't limit ourselves with the colors, types or numbers of paper. For me, the main criteria is expressing the subject, the second one is technically clean folding and shaping to express origami as an Art not Craft. But again, this is only my opinion. I don't know what other members would say.

Was thinking of making origami men

On another note: Challenge accepted!!

My submission: Feel love origami.
Feminism themes: Pink, love/romance, jewellery (you can wear it)... not 100% it fills the subject theme, if not, sorry guys!
1 dual colour sided sheet, no cutting or gluing.

Feedback would be much appreciated!! :)

well, it's quite a nice topic but not easy to translate into an origami-model ...
if you're going to visit my little flickr_gallery, please leave a comment - a critical one is welcome, too, if necessary: http://www.flickr.com/photos/57625237@N02/

This might be my last origami challenge I'll be participating..(maybe my last model..)
Topic looks quite general and interesting, but also looks hard to be expressed into origami model..
Well, anyway good luck everyone! :D

The first thing that came to my mind when I read the word feminity:
