What are we doing with this now that it's been over for a while and nobody entered?

Well, the key word here is "challenge". The last months CP were really too easy to solve. This series of challenges need more, you know, be a bit more challenging. Not just a pic a random figure with CP.

Want a proposal for this month:

If you think it is too complicated, well, you have m/v lines already solved. And most part of the bottom half is just thinning of the points.

Personally, I think that whilst the giraffe CP was indeed fairly easy to solve, the amount of shaping required to turn it into the final model combined with the lack of high quality pictures put off many. I tried the giraffe CP but could not figure out the correct shaping due to the lack of other pictures.

It would also be nice to use this thread to promote less folded designs and encourage people to fold them.

To point out, solve the CP is one thing. Shape the figure is an other.

Here an example:

You can shape any figure under your criteria, nothing forces you to be 100% accurate to author's rendition.

That is indeed true, I don't dispute any of what you say. It would be nice, however, to have a few more high-res pictures - it won't hurt those who want to shape the figure to their own criteria, and will help those who enjoy making a version similar to the author's.

Well I tried and failed on this one. The references where easy but I had no clue how to tackle those three centre points ( I'm guessing they all wrap up together and tuck in to form the underside?) I mangled a few sheets and gave up, guess I need some practice on simpler cp's!
