This is more symmetrical than your other models. It is a strong model, but I think the symmetry makes it more stylized. I like your fish for simplicity and asymmetry.
I think a lot about studies showing people prefer symmetry, ranking symmetrical faces as more beautiful. At the same time a balanced asymmetry is (to me) most beautiful in some scenarios. Think beauty marks. I think asymmetry imparts a life and implies character.
It is so nice to find this group and so exciting and inspiring to discuss your work.[emoji7]

Here's my entry. The topic of rounded and curved shapes made me think of bells/horns and so I designed this gramophone.

The first thing that came to mind for me was the curve of a cheetah's back while it is running.

The paper I chose turned out to be too small, so I couldn't make the back as rounded as I wanted to :( . If it isn't curvy enough, let me know and the images will magically disappear.

Since the judge has not responded, would it be suitable to open a poll?

I got a message from origamipete that says that I'm the judge. But since JAPC won the last challenge I think he is the judge, since I picked the topic. Those are the rules?

Hi everyone!
First of all I'm sorry for the delay, but I've been on vacation and without internet connection :(
I want to thank everyone that participate in this challenge with all of those great entries.
For the decision:
_The third place goes to the Minh Tue. It's a fantastic model but I think It's to close to other similar models that I've seen.
_The second place goes ex aequo to Origamipete and EDG for their great entries. I love both models and its volume.
_The first place goes to Yellerdude for his amazing model. It's a great combination of geometry and curves.

Congratulations to all participants and especially to Yellerdude that's gonna be the next month judge and chose the September topic.
