I would like to enter if possible if not you have another cheerleader this round.

Should we choose the topics like the last time ? One proposes 3 topics, the other one chooses one of them.

On the other hand, me vs bodo? I have no chance. Still, I'll try...
The "higher" seed in the duel suggests three topics, and the other person will choose one. The chosen topic is then used for that duel. And don't get discouraged--remember the winner is chosen by a vote. Originality and sticking to the topic can be better than a complex design.

That's fine; you can take Merlyn's spot if you'd like (just to simplify things). You would just have to make a forum topic with rules and three potential model topics for the duel. (You'd be facing Greencube.) I see you're a newbie here, so feel free to ask any questions you might have.

Yep. :)

Also, let's just state a rule now that each model must be designed specifically for the duel. There's been some confusion in the past with the monthly challenges, so I'm just putting it out there now.
I'll allow modifications of existing original designs so long as they're significantly different in some way (shaping excluded).

Do I start our duel or does bodo?
And Balto, bodo's designs are complex and original, that's why I look up to his designs. But it's an honour to duel him.

Bodo would start since he's the "higher" seed.

How should we go about deciding the deadlines for designing and voting? The IOIO is only about 2.5 weeks away, so there will be some overlap. Two weeks should be enough time for a design, but maybe not for some more complex models.
Would everyone be okay with the designing deadline being extended to the end of October (to allow for the IOIO as well)? I don't know who's participating in that, but it seems logical to me. (Voting would be the first week of November, and the ODT would pick up after the IOIO.)

What am I supposed to do on the "bye?"
If somebody joins can I duel them?

A bye means you're automatically in the second round, so you don't have to do anything until the middle of October.
If anyone else decides to join, however, you can feel free to duel them.

Hey grace, Can we choose and start on a new article? Cause everyone will be doing the choosing and dueling on their own article.. if you're participating, you'll be on the first seed so you haave to upload the new article.

I think you can pick specific rules per contest

I think anything goes if it's not explicitly stated one way or the other. And yes, any rules are only specific to that duel.
