Congratulations JAPC on the thoughtful and lovely curved planes of your model.
Firstfold. Wow. Beautifully constructed model with moving parts which I love. The symbolism and thought that has gone into it is simply above and beyond.

NeverCeaseToCrease, oh... I thought he was taking a selfie :P.

Baltorigamist, what is it that you think about entitlement? I thought it was a curious topic. I'd love to know your thoughts.

firstfold, WOW! There was a lot more to it than what I thought.

Let's just say I think it's a scourge on society. The more you provide without asking anything in return, the more that person comes to expect to gain without doing anything in return. It's affecting the workforce more than anything, the way I see it--but that affects things like the economy in turn.
We have people in minimum-wage jobs asking for higher pay while doing as little as possible. Meanwhile, those same people are trying to support families (using that as a justification for wanting higher pay), but the purpose of a minimum wage isn't to support a family; it's so that we can afford to get by while looking for jobs that pay more (i.e., enough to actually support a family).

I could say more, but this kind of discussion is better suited for another place.
After the fall, we rise.

Thank you so much everyone!
So I guess I have to say something about my piece...
Dasa you are very close to the meaning that I pretend to express with this model.
I see origami as a tool to express my ideas... Origami has a tremendous artistic potential that a lot of times is wasted in literal soulless models...
My goal was to challenge the viewer to create their own interpretation based in this image that shows a dialog of love between the creator and the creation sybolized by the dual face and all the composition of the picture.

Sometimes we need to see beyond the obvious :D

Baltorigamist, thank you for explaining it to me. I have a better idea now :). As I mentioned, I thought it was a white seal. Since the tail was unusually long and wide (for a seal), I thought it was a blade like the ones used to skin white seals. So the body of the seal would become the hilt of the dagger and the blue triangle on its chest would be blood, skin, and maybe guts. The color blue was the only thing that didn't make sense to me :P.

JAPC, I really liked what you wrote. A very original and interesting concept!

I'm so happy with the development of the challenge :D!
