Awesome! I am very happy with second place. There were some really great models folded for this contest and it is very flattering for mine to be appreciated in the midst of all these other great designs. Congrats to everyone who participated!

by the way, jonnycakes, I designed almost exactly your rat (and folded it with the same gold foil) a while back (though yours has better detail than mine). I was taken aback, as it looked like someone took a picture of one of my old models!

It is surprising how much that happens-X Wing cranes and octopuses get copied inadvertently all the time, for example. I think there was a case many years ago where 2 people designed the exact same pig and one accused the other of stealing their work.

The case of the purloined pig, if Im correct. All the details in Peter Engel`s book. And one of them was Yoshizawa himself! I would check up the other person, if only all my origami books werent 10 000 miles away!!!
