Yes, I realised that was an extra restriction on your part. Mine currently occupies about five 5' squares, although I should be able to get it down to the equivalent of a large 2-3 square monster. Except I wouldn't want my GM to get any funny ideas (look, a colossal rust monster!) - we got so creamed during the first encounter of an Underdark campaign he was running.

And getting slightly off topic - at least 3rd ed, or 3.5 ed, has (mostly) consistent mechanics, instead of the mishmash of rules that 1st or 2nd ed had.

I still know a few people playing 1st ed though.

Edit: Five 5' squares in gaming terms. Not in real life!

I've got rough versions of a nalfeshnee (demon), an azer (fire dwarf), and a succubus done. I'll post photos once I get the final versions folded.

I've also been playing with a caneloth model, but I'm not yet happy with the results. The main reason for this one is that my DM sent one of these against us last time, but didn't have a mini for it. Somehow, an otyugh mini doesn't quite cut it as a caneloth.

This thread has been quiet for a while and most of you will probably have forgotten about it, but since there was no deadline for the challenge I'll just add my contribution.

Someone asked for an Origami version of this:

It's a Griever, a character from the Final Fantasy world, and I thought it would fit in here.

Here's what I came up with so far:

Griever (ver 1.3 or so) folded using a 20cm square of copy paper, which definitely is not suitable for folding this model:

On the whole I'm very happy with the model, since it definitely is the most complex design I've come up with so far and moreover I designed it intentionally without any doodling.
The five "horns" on the head (even though they are too short) are actually colour-changed (which of course is not recognizable with white-white paper), the "elbow-swords" can be colour-changed as well, as well as the wings.
I used Treemaker to give me a base for it, added a lot of sink in and outs, then added a graft to give me more paper for the head, wings and arms.
If anyone is interested I can post the CP for it. There is no detailed CP for the head-part though since I'm not happy with it yet.

I'll have to fold the model from more suitable paper.... will keep you updated on my progress

Looks cool! Do you plan to stuff more paper into the wings? Looks like there's a lot more potential to add more detail in that area.

i especially like the xenomorph, the facehugger and the last dragon on the first page...theyÂ´re really impressive!
the paper seems so be quite good, too...would you tell me which kind of paper you used for the white dragon?...and how do you keep the layers together?
many of the models look like ceramics...^^
