I made one too, but it wasn't very good so I never posted it  Maybe I'll try again, now that it's a couple years later and I actually know what I'm doing!

Yeah, it would be hard to create both the stand and the figure!

Hi!

Excuse my so long silence.
Also sorry that I was unable to settle requirements to challenge definite enough. :( Probably the problem is my very weak knowledge in English.

Of course I mean statues.

La Tour Eiffel, The Empire State Building, The Golden Gate Bridge don't fit to challenge requirements.
Any triumphal arches as is don't fit too. But the sculptural decoration of l'Arc de Triomphe is of course the matter of current challenge. Therefore l'Arc de Triomphe with detailed sculptural elements is allowed.

firstfold. looks fine!

But why didn't you attach the photo of original statue to compare?

Image

As I can see from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bird_Girl your bird girl don't have bowls (bird feeders) in hands. In other aspects she is very like to the original

Firstfold's first fold of the bird girl had the bowls. Check back in page 2 of the thread.

Wow! Does the snake and the statue belong to a single paper?
