Wow. And I thought the pyramid design was cool! That's an awesome design!

@Adam: Purely for the hell of it, I'd like diagrams and or CP ._. Just to see the creative process, doubt I'll be able to make it.

@FlareglooM: I'm gonna be honest and say I like this new one better. It really gives more of a 3-D look to a 2-D model.

Excellent model, FlareglooM. I really love this designing style!

Here are two more pictures of the pyramid I designed; they show the interior and exterior of the model while it's back-lit. Again, I apologise for the mediocre picture quality, but I only have access to the camera in my phone at the moment. Furthermore, it's impossible to find a background that is large enough for this model, so please ignore the random objects in the background.

Here's on showing the back-lit pyramid, while it's standing on its side:

And here's one showing the model from the inside:

I'll start working on some diagrams soon, though I suspect that some of you could easily reverse-engineer the model from the pictures I've posted; the structure is extremely simple, yet extremely efficient. In addition to that, the folding process is probably easier than that of a flapping bird! It simply requires a lot of patience and time and only becomes difficult when you do so many levels as I did. The design also looks great when made from a 64x64 grid on a 20x20 cm sheet of kami.

Great model, Adam.
These photos just confirmed my suspicion of how you made it. That must take a lot of patience.

Here's my rendition of the Giza pyramid complex. It's based on Stacy Mannes and Jared Needle's great models. Since it's a derivative work I don't want it to be part of the competition, I just wanted to post it here so you all could see it.

I've been thinking about making another version that includes the three smaller Queen's pyramids next to the Pyramid of Menkaure... but that will be for a later date.
The world's worst photographer now has a flickr account... enjoy!

Voting time!

Some really good submissions (again).

Honorary mention to Wilsonorigami for his Anubis and also to Nathan for his mask. I thought both those were gonna be in the finals, but some late submissions sneaked in ahead of them.

In third place:
Sarcophagus by Sunburst. Not much to say other than that it's awesome.

In second place:
Adam's Pyramid. Beautiful result.

In first place:
Flaregloom's Duo-pyramids. It's genial and "out-of-the-box" creativity, as well as unmistakable result clinched the title of "Winner".

Well done to all who participated.
See you next month.

my congratulations to all the winners and participants, too.
is it going to become your style to design this kind of flat but illusional origami, flaregloom? i think it quite interesting and do sympathize with its simplicity.

Josh, that pyramid is from a fwaterbomb base. Not fully an "own base".
congrats to fkaregloom, I completely forgot that there is a challenge :-P
