I say that you should also have to post how many years you have been doing origami and that should be taken into acount when choosing a winner.

@Origaminerd: I'm against a rule like this. It has proven too often that it doesn't matter how long one is folding whether he is a good designer or not.

I think he means if you've been doing origami for 15 years, there's a good chance you're a better designer for someone who's been folding for six months. So people who haven't been designing that long (and most likely aren't as good at it) will still get a chance.

This also means that a complete novice who has never folded before will have the same chance to win as a seasoned origami veteran who has been folding and designing their entire life. A rule like that would not only make it incredibly difficult if not impossible to judge the contest fairly, but would eliminate the factor of skill, which, if I am not mistaken, is kind of important in judging a challenge.
