Challenge: Origami crane!

Post by ForceFold »

Hi! This is a challenge to see who can fold the smallest origami crane
Here are the rules:

-only cranes, the traditional kind, not the "flapping bird"

-when everybody has submitted their pictures, either I will pick one or I will create a poll between the closets ones

-along with a picture of your crane post the measurements of the cranes legth and width. Also to assure that there is no cheating on this rule post your picture in relation to something (ex. Having your crane on top of a dime) Also, put the dimensions of your paper

-neatness will also count so make sure that your folds are crisp

-the deadline for all entries is March 1 2012

-microscopes are not allowed

-nothing is allowed but a piece of paper, your hands , and maybe a pair of tweezers

-Have Fun!!!

This is indeed a challenge! A very small one was achieved by a person using robotic surgical equipment. Watch it here!

It's kind of off topic (sorry, mods) but I designed a crane with a crane-with-a-crane-on-its-back on its back.
Anyway, the smallest I've ever folded was from a .5" square.
After the fall, we rise.

I am really annoyed with myself that I can't get round to making a Fickr account as I would enjoy these monthly challenges.
