Karma?

Post by the modern einstein »

I've seen a lot of forums around with user karma for individual posts. I'm wondering if we could introduce it like the reddit system, so we can actually review what other people thought of our posts, even if they didn't respond. It would also make the forum ranking system a bit more helpful, when people are based on the quality of their posts instead of the quantity.

I've also seen a system up and running, where you can like a post, like in facebook. :/ don't know what the mods think, but from what i've seen it works reasonably well

This is a good idea. My reservation is that installing any MOD usually requires ongoing maintenance following installation. As such, it can add complexity when upgrading the forum software.

Nonetheless, I'll have a look and let you know if I can get something added. Thank you for your input.

It seems there is no stable, supported MOD out there, so installing anything like that would be at our own risk and like Saj said, would need ongoing maintenance. Otherwise this would be an interesting thing to have.
