There are two different ways to enter a link in a post or signature. The first (and mostly used) way is just to enter the link right inside the entry like this:
that will produce this result:
http://www.google.de

The other more elegant way is to name the link that you're going to enter. This is even better when the link has a lot of letters that would exceed the size of the layout. Since a link is always treated like a single word, there won't be any line break.
