Is this paper okay?

Post by Acorn Man »

Hey guys,

I found this super cheap paper, but there are some really nasty reviews on it. Is it usable? All it really has to be is better than printer paper. I'm sure some of you guys have bought it. Thanks.

Buy it and test it! That's the only way to know how good it is, as reviews vary. I wouldn't buy that paper, I recommend you to buy some Toyo kami. If you want some cheap paper
for testfolding buy butcher, wrapping or kraft paper.

Sorry, haven't tried this one yet, but if you want a high quality standard kami, I would really recommend you buying one of these blue boxes: http://www.origami-shop.com/en/paperori ... 7-620.html
I know they are twice as expensive, but the paper inside is the best standard 15cm paper I've ever had and believe me I tried many papers.

I wasn't going to use butcher paper because its a bit of a pain to size, and it doesn't have any color. I will look at getting that paper origami_8. Its cheaper than the other on I was looking at by about 5 dollars. I live in the US BTW, so shipping from origami shop may be a little pricy. Thanks for the help guys.

NO. This paper cracks and isn't good for origami at all. It's foil on both sides and white on the inside. You can even peel it apart - I really don't recommend it.

Wow, I guess I won't get it. I thought it was just kami.

Wait a sec.. I'm so sorry man. I didn't read it close enough - I thought it was the Folia Foil (http://www.theorigamipapershop.com/p-14 ... MgodHTcA4g)

That foil I don't recommend, I've never tried the link you originally had. I'm sorry, my fault, I got them confused. You could go ahead and try it.. sorry again :(
