White glue ratio?

Post by idooi »

There are a lot of folders in this forum who uses the cheap and non-special white glue to make thier tissue foil. I know it should be mixed with some water. What is the ratio for 1 cup of glue?
The worst mistake you can do

is to be afraid to make a mistake

It depends a lot on the glue. I mix mine (Metylan Ovalit T) approximately 1+1, but I know others that don't need to be mixed at all. The important thing is that the glue sticks to aluminium, not all do. How much water to add is a matter of trial and error.

By the way, a cup of glue is far more than you will need. I don't need more than a spoon full for several sheets.
