Aluminum foil

Post by idooi »

My largest piece of aluminum foil is 45 cm width. How can I connect two pieces together?

I am guessing you are making tissue foil?
Step1 roll a sheet of foil.
Step2 roll a second sheet of foil just slightly overlapping the first
Step3 use a paintroller and white glue on the sheets
Step4 carefully roll a sheet of tissue on the foil with glue. Make small rips in the foil where the corners of the tissue is
Step5 gently turn everything over
Step6 use glue on this side
Step 7 roll tissue on top. Align the edge with the rips in the foil
Step8 let it dry for an hour or 2. You can take it of the surface and hang it to dry.
Step 9 cut into squares.

Step 10 google/ youtube search for tissue foil tutoriol or how to.
There are some good ones.

Hi !
I don't know if I have to create a new topic for my question but it is about aluminum foil too.
I usually buy this kind of aluminum paper http://www.origami-shop.com/rouleaumeta ... 9-675.html but it recently started to be too small for what I want to fold so I'm looking for the same paper but in a bigger size. Does someone know where can I buy paper like this ?

thanks

So you just overlap the rolls and glue them then use it normally?

Yeah. That is it. You are making tissue foil? Because foil alone does not fold very good.
