Single color for a Condor?

Post by Gerardo »

My first model ever was Condor: http://neorigami.com/neo/index.php/othe ... r-/-condor

It's a single color model and I'm not planning on changing that. Condors, the animal, have three main colors: their heads are pink, their bodies are black, and they have a ring of white feathers around their neck. My question is, when folding my model do you think color is an issue? If so, in what colors would it be appropiate and in what colors wouldn't it be? Or since it doesn't have a color change do you think it'll look just as good in any color?

I really appreciate all the thoughts you can share :).

Hi Gerardo. I think that making a colorchange can make a model alot better although you don't HAVE to do colorchange. For a condor either go with the black body and pink head or black body and white ring. When you have three different colors choose the combination that defines the animal most. Check out the red panda by quentin trollip. He wanted three colors but made fold/line where the third color should be. Most of his works have some nice colorchanges.

Thanks roodborst. That's exactly what I meant. I'm not planning on changing the model; it simply doesn't have a color change. So my question is simply about choosing the right color.
