Foil thickness for tissue foil

Post by easysid »

Hello,

What thickness foil is everyone using to make tissue foil? Here (in India) we get kitchen foil from 10-11 microns thick, to 18 microns thick, latter being labelled heavy duty.

I kind of want to know what is the thickness you recommend.

Thanks

Generally, the thinner the foil the better. Thicker foils can get difficult to deal with for more complex models with many layers stacked

I personally use heavy duty. I've tested both and while the heavy duty is thicker, it feels and shapes way better than the thinner foil. It's also slightly less likely to tear.
