If you have Kamiya's book, the fur is shaped the same way as the fingers on his Wizard or the toes on the Ancient Dragon. If not, i know theres photodiagrams up somewhere that show the technique

i would just make a series of 90 degree reverse folds at step 3 instead of a valley fold. also what size paper is recomended?

but none of the pros do it like that!! if you look carefully, you can tell that they turn the fan like part down and then work from there. so frustrated!
i would go with at least 50x50 cm if i wanted good results.

You guys did a wonderful job, I've been buisy with a job for over a semester, and school, i haven't folded for about 6 months. I finally get a day off and i forgot how beautiful origami is. anyway...may i please get the referencing to this crease pattern?
