Newbie asks for advice.

Post by Chotie »

Hello and thank you for listening.

I have not been folding for so long so i have to struggle a bit
from time to time, but i have managed some diagrams anyway.

Unfortunately there are no Origami groups nearby where i live so i
hope i can get an advice from posting to this group.

Right now i have been folding this dragon from K. Weidner and i have
a problem which makes the beaks of the dragon stand out wrong.

This is the model i am folding:
http://dev.origami.com/images_pdf/dragon.pdf

Steps 3, 4 and 5 are made by a rabbit ear and then a petal fold, but
i think this is where i am doing it wrong. (I cant petal fold with
the rabbit ear i am getting from the diagram so that the result looks
like picture 5?)

Are there pictures from other angles of this on some site?

Thanks,

Step 4 is a double rabbit-ear and no petal fold, there´s a mistake in the text. But you can also get the same result by first squashing the top part and then making a petal fold (as if you would make a bird-base).

Thank you for helping out.
Now it works. Besides that part with 3-4-5 the rest checked out fine.
