Ryujin 3.5 tail

Post by satoshifan »

Hi everyone! :D

So i'm preparing to fold Ryujin 3.5 (at the moment my "preparation" is designing a snake based on the same scale pattern and paper distribution so as to be an "easy" Ryujin, but after that I'll fold it :D) and the only part that I haven't been able to fold is the tail because I can't seem to find a cp that works. The public one online I folded (it's just diagonal pleats with a weird reverse fold on one side) and it doesn't have any of the necessary flaps. The one in World of super complex Origami is more detailed, but has the same issue. And the one I found on a different topic someone said didn't work. So can someone make photodiagrams, a full cp for the tail, or a video? I would really appreciate that. If it already exists, please link me to it, and mods, if this has been asked before on a different topic you can just lock this one.

Thanks in advance,
satoshifan!

Hello,

First, try using the search button. Here is the existing topic:
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=558

Anyway you can find the full CP of the tail in the same topic here:
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=558&start=960 (scroll down a little)

Hope that helped. :D

If you'd read my original post you'd know that I'd already found that and I explicitly said that people (go to the next page, for one) said that cp didn't work.

Thank you for trying though :D

Still looking for help!

I made photo diagrams how I make it :D http://www.flickr.com/photos/origslater ... 371833716/
I just realized I forgot to put how to do the spikes on the middle pleat.
after you fold the base and it is color side up the pleat will be inside the model instead of out. carefully unfold just enough so that you can make it into a mountain fold. the mountain fold will travel all the way down untill it touches where the scale pleats are. then sink both parts of the pleat just like you would if they were the dorsal spines of the ryujin. the first one is easy but the second one is a little tricky because of the scale pleats. just sink it like normal but hold the scale pleats in place as you do it. the valley folds of the sink will travel through a few pleats. hope this helps!
