I think it is just an unfolding of the petal folds there.

So go to step 11 and start unfolding that front part until it looks like 13.

I would love to help out. Just gimme a few hours because I'm in the United States and it's morning here. After school, i'll post pics if that would be good with you
I would rather fail trying than fail without trying....

My apologies for repeating myself but could someone please please post some pictures of steps 11 - 17 I have to make this crab by the end of the week for a display along with Robert lang's from sea life which I have finally received some help with, I know previously there has been images but they have been deleted. I see diagrams for a similar crab but there are cuts involved which isn't what I want.

Thanks Ead22

So you are having trouble with the unfolding of the flaps originally blintzed preceding step one. Here is me doing just that. You have to un-collapse more than one point in order to fully remove those corners of paper out as shown:

Starting:
Image

Now we open up the front:
Image

We proceed with pulling out that point further:
Image

Continuing:
Image

Now where my pointer finger is is another point that was adjacent to the other we just pulled out. We pull out this one in the same way:
Image

Now on the left is the second point folded out. On the right is the first point folded out. Now you can see that flap of paper that was originally a corner folded to the center from BEFORE step 1:
Image

Now you pull that flap out like so:
Image

Now is the hard part. From now on the pictures will be from the other side (viewing it from the top). You need to collapse it as shown (I think):
Image

Now you continue the collapsing as shown here:

Another in progress photo:

Side view of the collapse:

And you are all done that one step. Phew. Now you can do the rest of them by yourself!
[Also, can anyone confirm that I did this right?]

EDIT: Yes I double checked and this does provide the right number of flaps for completion of the model.

I'm still attempting this model. When I collapse the model to get the 6 flaps they are extremely thick. Is it supposed to be this way?
Never begin the day until it is finished on paper.
