Worked that time =P, there are too many pictures to upload one at a time, so I hope a zip file is ok.

Putting it blunt for you.mir numaan wrote:if you are getting so excited to fold such a simple model, then i don't know what will you do when you will see kamiyas ancient dragon. Anyways, i may try to reverse engineer the model for you.
Stop being so arrogant and superior. Perhaps you don't mean it, but that's what it comes across as.

They did. you were just too lazy to try and figure some stuff out on your own. either that, or you tried to fold something way above your folding level
I would rather fail trying than fail without trying....

If you're making a life size hat, you can fold the corner in step 19 higher and the crease in step 25 higher for a tighter fit
Re: Anyone knows the creator of this baseballcap with wings?
hi all,
hi wriggles,
i tried it, and here is my result:
currently i am not very satisfied with my outcome...as I believe i did not do the collapsing the box correctly...
Some of the pictures, i wasnt so sure if i did it right:
e.g. pictture 5:
- did you mean the pink corner to the center ? or is it the smaller white corner to the center?
picture 14: I got that step, but the new line is not the center of the 2 pre-creased lines right?
Picture 15: is mountain-folded along the line made in picture 14 correct?
picture 30: that is a bit tricky somehow...
picture 33: is not locking the back so tight...maybe i did something wrong there..
I will see if i can fold it better than my first try
and yes..i actually want to do a real-size hat...for kids to wear in summer...but looks like as if I have to use a pretty big paper...maybe gonna try with newspaper...
thanks again..

Yours looks more like the original than mine lol
The very end of the paper to the center.e-mo wrote: Some of the pictures, i wasnt so sure if i did it right:

That's right, ignore the 2 creases in between.e-mo wrote:picture 14: I got that step, but the new line is not the center of the 2 pre-creased lines right?
Yeah, the edge of the rabbit ear should match up with the fold made in step 14.e-mo wrote:Picture 15: is mountain-folded along the line made in picture 14 correct?
The vertical and horizontal folds are all valley folds, the 4 diagonal folds are mountain folds. The 4 diagonals are new creases, the valley folds are already pre-creased. Fold through all layers.e-mo wrote:picture 30: that is a bit tricky somehow...
The lock isn't perfect, but it should be holding the shape of the hat at least.e-mo wrote:picture 33: is not locking the back so tight...maybe i did something wrong there..
Good luck with the life size hat =) I haven't tried one yet but I'm sure newspaper will work. You can always tape/glue several sheets together if all else failse-mo wrote:I will see if i can fold it better than my first try

I'll be sure to wear my hat like a doofus!
Re: Anyone knows the creator of this baseballcap with wings?
I think it is fun for kids to wear ...just need to figure it out how large the paper should be....
20x20cm seems to be too little
probably at least about 1.5mx1.5m....hm.....

Re: Anyone knows the creator of this baseballcap with wings?
Around 50 cm will be fine, I guess.
Re: Anyone knows the creator of this baseballcap with wings?
I am afraid now...as the current result is way too small with 20x20...so 50x50..would turn our about double size of the current hat...and this is still too small.

Re: Anyone knows the creator of this baseballcap with wings?
Then I guess, 100x100 cm?
Re: Anyone knows the creator of this baseballcap with wings?
If you don't mind the wings and front being smaller, you can fold the hat part bigger and tuck less of the paper away
For maximum doofus potential =P
