Lang's tree frog

Post by nat »

Can anyone tell me where the frog eye's come from?
(Step 79 from "Origami Design Secrets")
I cannot find any point on the tip (head) that is reverse-foldable.
Im not sure if that little peice of paper is the petal fold (step 19) or the spread sink (step 24). but in any cause, both things cant be reverseable...

I've done the whole thing through except right now it doesn't have eyes and looks rather strange.

Thank you

Ok... I'm sorry about this, I think I figured out the problem myself.
Its because I folded the whole body in the wrong orientation.
The sides that should have been they eyes, instead of being on the left and right, it was on the top and bottom.

Sorry again for wasting your time.

Hmm, I have the same problem as nat. I can't find any point on the tip (head) that is reverse-foldable.

Any tips?

Can you post a pic of what you've got? Could be that some layers are trapped. You may be able to partially unfold and "de-creep" the layers to free the point. The points for the eye's are folded out in steps 17 to 28, so you could unfold to that stage to check it went correctly, if all else fails. Sorry I can't be more helpful!

Thanks Edg, I refolded the model. I must have folded it in the wrong orientation too switching left/right with front/back. I end up ripping the paper in many places though in the end. I guess I should try different paper and perhaps not burnishing creases with my fingernails at all.
