There's already a topic about this. ;-)

Here's the topic, see if it asks your question, if it doesn't, then ask it there again.

Precreasing is all about patience and accuracy/exactness.

The errors you make in the first precreases compound quite quickly. Beyond this advice, there isn't much to say, I don't think.

Does foil paper actually help precreasing like I've heard?

What do you mean by "help" precreasing? Technically foil is harder to fold crease patterns with as it doesn't reverse creases easily. I don't understand what someone would mean about foil helping precreasing.

i assume by "helping" precreasing you're talking about the creases being more visible on foil as opposed to mulberry or something else in which case there's a little bit of truth to it - that said, if you can't get precreases right with mulberry/double tissue/lokta/whatever, i don't think you're going to get it right with foil either... practice is the only answer i think

Have you tried the diagrams for it in Terry's Licence to Fold?

A few questions then. Have you finished it? If so then can you post a picture? I'm sure it would look great! If you need help then please specify a step where you are stuck. We would be more than happy to help you if it is needed.

Perhaps a bit of common sense may be useful here...
In order for anyone to help you, it is imperative that you indicate exactly how far, to what step number , you have comfortably advanced to, thus far.
I hope that you have at least gotten to step 43 & 44 , which are the amended diagram steps .
Clearly speaking, there are 221 steps overall, many of which are fairly challenging .
This might be a project better placed on hold, until you have more experience with other easier, but increasingly difficult, models .
We've all had moments where we've bitten off more than we can chew, have applied further study & diligence , then resumed to tackle the problematic complex model at a later time .
May I wish success to all who cope with the mountains & valleys of Life,
with all its peaks & depths, as well as Origami .
