Kawasaki stem by C.A.Furuti

I need help with step 11 of the stem and stand of the Kawasaki rose diagrammed by C.A.Furuti. I don't see what he means with the rabbit ear fold.

I'm gonna do a bit of shameless self-advertisement by telling you that you can get to Step 13 of the stand more easily and without any "weird" steps by following my diagrams for my Four-Leaf Clover.
You have to fold up to step 9 of my diagrams, but skip the squash fold in step 6. (alternatively you can undo the squash folds in the end)
You should end up with exactly the same as in Step 13, except that you might have to swing the flaps into the right position
