Inverted Spiral

Post by mwillies21 »

Hi all,

Any suggestions on where to start recreating a spiral like the one in this image?

Thanks for the help!

Well, I'd start with drawing two circles onto a piece of paper. Cut it out, make a preliminary base and fold it into thirds to get an even division into 12 parts. The rest should be easy enough to figure out.

It looks like a fairly simple corrugation to me. It's hard to tell proportions, but divide a square into 24ths both ways (valley folds) and crease the diagonals of the 1x4 rectangles (mountain folds). From there, you should be able to collapse it into something similar to what you linked.
After the fall, we rise.
