Sleipnir V2 (Kamiya) reference

Hello lovely people,
I was hoping someone could help me out with the reference for Kamiya's Sleipnir v2. The CP is on his website: http://www.folders.jp/g/2015/1501.html
He says the ratio is 6 + √2, with the older version is 4 + 2√2. I've seen this with reference to other CPs but i don't understand what it specifically refers to and how to work it out. I'm assuming that you put the paper measurements into the equation and it gives you a reference to measure onto the paper?
Hopefully someone can help me out, or someone who has folded it can give me pointers. Thanks.
