step 23 hideo komatsu snake

Post by hoodsmommy »

I need help with step 23 in hideo komatsu's snake (this one: https://www.flickr.com/photos/62572859@N08/8333400480). I can do all the other twists, but for some reason after step 23 (that's finishing the bottom left corner and left flap), the part of the snake that's furthest away from the corner has the wrong shape, isn't long enough, has extra paper on top, etc. Can anyone help (with pictures)? Thanks.

Not sure I understand where your problem is...
Is it related to the result of step 23?
What is "the part of the snake that's furthest away"?
Please post a picture of your model where you are stuck, it could help the helpers!
(Right now, I can't fold it, but I'll try soon)

Also, if it can help, in the text under step 23, it is said you have to pull out only one layer, not the two of them.

That was it! (I can't read Japanese). Thanks so much!

Glad I could help!

So, this is an example where the diagram isn't enough by itself.
