hello! this is my first time posting and i'm sort of a beginner so apologies if i don't know the lingo. I love a challenge but am having difficulty in completing step 12 of this diagram:

I've looked through this forum and have seen answers to steps 3 and 8, but i'm stumped as to how to pull up the side in step 12, as I cannot get the corner that high without ripping anything. Do I have to open up everything between the tail and the step 12?

If you're not able to open the model as shown above, I assume that you did the reversing to get an inside petal fold in step 6 incorrectly. There you have to flip down the upper triangle 360° to the bottom side of the paper below. Like this (as seen from the side):

The mountain folds of the top triangle will revert to a valley fold. For this step you temporarily have to open the model slightly.
