Hi guys,

I've tried searching the whole forum for help on the Pegasus 2015 model which is significantly different from the one in ''Works of Satoshi Kamiya -1995-2003'. The 2015 version has a closed head and upright posture, the diagrams of which are only found in 'The Beauty of Origami by Makoto Yamaguchi'. There are no tutorial videos of this version.

Unfortuantely, the diagrams there are in Japanese only and being unable to read Japanese, I am stuck at the head from step 74.

I know a few of you have successfully folded this model. Can you please kindly explain what to do there?

Kindest,

Gene

perhaps you could be more specific as to your difficulties. in all honesty, if you've gotten to step 74, you're past all the hard parts, and you're just left shaping the head, which is mostly just straight up mountains, valley, rabbit ears, and pleats. if you're relatively new to origami, as a suggestion, when following a diagram, just don't "fold along the dotted line"--make sure your mountains are mountains (the sheet folds away from you) and your valleys are valleys (the sheet folds towards you on either side of the line).

in case this hasn't been resolved yet, I folded this a few months back and if I'm not mistaken step 74 is a kind of swivel/squash fold. I hope that helps.

Hi,
I am stuck on steps 84 and 85. What does 85 say? Is it a mountain fold or a reverse.

My fold looks like so

It appears to be a reverse fold, as the arrow goes under the nearest layer and back out.

Thanks. I was doing step 84 incorrectly it seems. It's a pleat taking all layers together, and not a crimp as I was doing. Then doing the reverse fold in step 85 made sense.
