Help

Post by monica.maree107 »

Hi everyone,
I am new here. I have been doing origami all by myself for a while but I figured that I would maybe start to join a community.
I need help in creating a water lily pad. I am lost from Step 4 onwards. Can anyone be able to help me make this please? Maybe create it or refer me to a video (because I can't find any in english).

This is the website I found it on:
https://leafpiece.wordpress.com/p1040489_edit/

and this is the pdf tutorial on how to make the leaf

That is actually a pretty basic step, but I can see how it could be confusing. That is what is called a squash fold.

Here is a short video detailing how to do one. If you can't figure out how to apply it to that model, let me know and I will try and make a quick video on it.

I'm pretty sure step 4 is just lifting the paper up (step 4's top corner flap becomes step 5's leftmost corner flap), and step 5 is a fold similar to a squash fold. The squash fold as shown in the video Phillip posted comes at step 11.
Good luck!
