I noticed there is not a topic dedicated to this wonderful magazine.

So to start off with the first question: does anyone know what models are in issue 173 that should be out by now?

Hi !
You can Google origami Tanteidan Magazine .
Volume 29 consists of issue 169-174, but I do notice that 173 and 174 are not listed as yet.
Probably only a matter of time ...
You may already know this, but individual issues are not sold, so you would need to buy the desired volume ( approx. 6 issues ) .
There is a marginal possibility that someone might sell you an individual issue .

I know how the magazine works, since I have a subscription. This topic is meant to discuss the contents of the issues. 173 Is on its way and I was curious about the models included.

I went to Twitter to see if anyone posted any pictures.

I found the picture of the cover in this tweet:
https://twitter.com/kaito_origami/statu ... 8281235456

On the cover it lists:
Close-up:
- "Search for the Optimal Solution of Origami Checkerboard Puzzles" by Kazuki Ohshima
Diagrams:
- "Northrop YF-23" by Kazuhide Minamijima
- "RADEN Box" by Miyuki Kawamura
- "Talking Skull" by Jeremy Shafer
- "A Spiral Object" by Kaito Nagayama
Crease Pattern Challenge:
- "Hippopotamus" by Yuta Katsuzaki
Information:
- "A Report of the 10th Origami Tanteidan Shizuoka Convention"

You can find some pictures of the folded models if you search "探偵団マガジン173" on Twitter:
