I'm trying to make an origami skier by Robert Harbin, which the only source I can find on how to make it is this diagram: http://www.wonko.info/365origami/wp-con ... /elias.pdf

I was able to get past the Elia's special base for figures and I managed to get the arms but after that I get confused. What does "put the skis down" mean??

From the look of the diagram, it appears that you're supposed to swing the front two flaps downward while swinging the bottom flap up and back (forming an upside-down T with the body). From there, it's just a matter of narrowing the base.
