Alligator Spanning Turtle (One Warter One World)

Post by jscpuzzle »

Hello,

I am folding a model of an alligator spanning turtle that I found in Nicolas Terry's book "One Water One World" and I am stuck at step 25.

Has anyone ever folded this model and could help me?

Thank you in advance.

sorry for the delay. only recently got around to folding this model.

think of step 25 as stretching a bird base.

in general, with any kind of complex collapse, i think it's helpful to ensure the creases are oriented as diagrammed. that is to say, i think most of us just fold regardless if the author marks something as a valley or a mountain fold, and for most models, things will just fall into place. with complex collapses, i think it is important to make sure your mountains are mountains and your valleys are valleys--that is to say, if a crease is marked as a mountain fold, make sure the paper on either side is going away from you, and if something is demarcated as a valley, make sure both sides are going towards you.
