I am able to create the model shown by using a windmill base. Is there an alternative way to make a similar model using a blintz base or other options? Looking for an alternative fold or other methods to create this result using a blintz base, rather than a windmill base. Thanks for any assistance!

Re: Alternative Fold Assistance
If you fold a blintz base then turn the paper over and fold another blintz base, like when folding a fortune teller, you can then fold the tips over resulting in a similar shape like the one in thhe picture. But you would get a cross (from the edges of the folds) under those four corner squares and you wouldn't get the dou ble edge in each of the corner squares. So it wouldn't be exactly like in the picture.
Hope this helps .

Re: Alternative Fold Assistance
srqgami, are you trying to tessellate this or to make it recursive? Maybe if you explain the purpose of making it from other than a blintz base could give someone who could help you and idea.
Re: Alternative Fold Assistance
Looking for the pieces to be able to connect together, which create an almost windmill-type pattern when multiples of this model connect.
