Crease pattern help

I know this is a bit of a long shot, but here goes. I wanted to make my band instructor something for Christmas, and since her main instrument is the flute, so naturally I'd like to make her a flute.

The problem is, all the origami flutes designed I can find only have crease patterns available for them, and as long as I've been doing origami, I have no idea how to decipher them.

Does anyone know of any designs with diagrams/tutorials available? Or have any tips for deciphering patterns?

You can print most cp’s and just make an attempt. If the crease pattern is two coloured you can go a step further and pre-score all the lines using an empty ball point pen or bamboo skewer. Just place the printed cp against the soft cardboard backing of your origami paper.

I don't know where you've been looking, but a simple Google search for origami flute, returned several instructions and at least two videos.
