Modular Star Help

I have recently finished building all the units for the modular star by Tomoko Fuse in the action origami book but whenever I try to assemble it there are a few pieces left. I was wondering if anyone can help me.

If you have completed the star and have extra pieces, you need to check if each star has 5 sides or rather points. You may have some with 4 only with some and so extra pieces remain.
