Fox diagrams

Post by gordigami »

Max:
Thanks much for the link to Paul Forcher's fox !
A very cheery , uncomplicated model, perfect for quick requests .
If I had an opportunity, I'd really enjoy folding Roman Diaz' Fox, but as of yet there aren't any diagrams, I believe.
Hoping that it'll be included in his next book !
May I wish success to all who cope with the mountains & valleys of Life,
with all its peaks & depths, as well as Origami .

I'm sorry if its bad to post in an older topic but I'm working on the Fuchs 96 fox model and I cannot get past step 13. Can anyone provide more info on this step? I'm newer to origami and get a lot of the basics (unless this is basic and I'm overconfident in my abilities). Thanks for your help.

I haven't folded it, but step 13 seems to be a squash fold.
Edit: Folded it now. It's really easy, with the front layer just make the long valley fold along the existing crease and press the model flat.

So I'm still having trouble. Maybe it's more a transition from step 13 to 14. Here's my fold before 13 and after 14. Am I doing something wrong? Or missing something entirely? Thanks for your help.

It does look correct to me. So what do you think is the problem? It looks exactly as it is supposed to look like.

It took a long time and many attempts but I finally realized what was wrong. Besides misunderstanding the squash fold, I didn't realize the model rotated slightly. I did the model twice, using a 11 paper the second time. And I got the result. I could not be more pleased.
