Nicolas Terry's monk

Post by thn »

Hi, I need help woth this monk : http://n.terry.free.fr/book/diagrams/Mo ... _Terry.pdf

I don't understand the step 24-25 and how you sink the head... I think this is kind of twist of layers but I don't get it.
Moreover, at the end, step 36, it seems that the arms of the monk (from the upper flap) seem not to stay well right next to the body, I mean that when I look from at it from below, there is a space between the flap it just opened and the body.

thank you for you help.

For the Sink you can try...

1. Fold and unfold the tip along the outside of the model to give a guide as to how far you want to sink it into the model.

2. Open the top of the model out slightly while you push all of the paper outlined above inside the model

...or you could try a closed sink which while a little more tricky does work well.

Step 36 is just a problem with the paper, you could try folding it out of foil or wetfolding the model.
